Tankers

First  :

A reduction in suez canal tolls currently applicable and of (19993 circular No. 435608) to be offered for such VLCC’s as follows :-

A)  

 A reduction of  45% from Suez  Canal applicable tolls for VLCC’S coming from Gulf of Mexico (Loop range).

B)

A reduction of  55% from Suez  Canal applicable tolls for VLCC’S coming from Caribbean zone and the north coast of  South America Following Documents to be Submitted :-

AA- 

Upon arrival to Suez Canal along with other documents normally offered according to Article 15 of Rules of Navigation January 1992 Edition.

1.

   A certificate signed and stamped from port of origin authorities – stating data of departure, state of vessel (in ballast).

2.

A vow in writing to pay full transit dues in case of changing  port of origin/destination stamped and signed by owner/operator.

3.

A vow of same signed by the master of the vessel and sealed by the vessel’s stamp.

BB-

within a month from the date of transit :-

A certificate signed and stamped from port of destination authority stating :

Date of arrival ,  and coming from.

CC-

Item (1) page 169 – part IV (Rules of Navigation) regarding erroneous declaration will be applicable if documents and data are deomed unture.


LNG

Article One :-

Transit dues rate of  Natural Gas Carriers shall remain in force as per the table of dues attached to Circular No. 6/98 applied as of 1/1/99 .  Meanwhile, the rebate of 35% of transit dues granted to this category of ships shall also remain uncharged, as stated in item 2 of the Explanatory Note attached to Circular No.3/97

 

Article Two:-

First :

In addition to the reduction granted to LNG’s in article one, further rebates, to liquefied Natural Gas quantities transported through the Suez Canal, Shall be given as shown hereunder :-

a.

5% on the Suez Canal Transit dues for the round trip of the same carrier, if gas quantities transported through the Suez Canal by one individual client during one year starting from the date of contracting with SCA, exceed half a million tons and up to one million.

b.

10% on the Suez Canal Transit dues for the round trip of the same carrier, if gas quantities transported by one individual client during one year starting from the date of contracting with the SCA, exceed one million tons and up to one million.

c.

15% on the Suez Canal Transit dues for the round trip of the same carrier, if gas quantities transported by one individual client during one year starting from the date of contracting with SCA, exceed 2 million tons .

Second :

Reduction stated in article Two Item First (a,b,c) shall be settled upon the return trip once the bill of lading and the cargo manifest have duly been submitted.

Third :

Any Client who wishes to benefit from the said reduction, Article Two, Item First (a,b,c), shall submit a request stating all necessary information as per attached form, adequately in advance of transit. A special file on the client’s carriers shall be initiated to follow up their trips and calculate theirrelevant Gas quantities that have already been transported


Long Haul

Toll reduction

Depending on ship’s route and by prior application to S.C.A. through Gulf Agency Company (Egypt) Ltd, ship can be granted with a reduction on the canal toll if a voyage calculation shows savings by routing vessels via Cape of Good Hope or Panama instead of Suez Canal.
