GAC’s Suez Canal Transit service is used by Owners and Operators to facilitate their vessels’ smooth passage through the waterway, thus saving valuable time and money.

GAC has more than 20 years experience of handling vessel transits, making it a market leader in the provision of transit services for the Suez Canal.

The GAC Suez Canal Transit Service package includes liaison with authorities handing all financial arrangements including bank transfers; daily communications prior to, during and after transit; berthing as required; crew changes; and supply of spares, bunkers, stores and water. As an added service, GAC staff constantly check for ways to provide savings on Canal fees for transiting vessels. Further, GAC’s valuable booklet “Advice to Masters” is available online, where it can be viewed online or downloaded as a text document.

Since 1998, GAC has been present in all Egyptian ports to handle calls by tramp, tanker and liner vessels. All port operations are coordinated from the company’s head office in Alexandria. Besides handing documentation and liaison with local ports, immigration and customs authorities, GAC staff arrange supplies of stores, water and bunkers and also handle crew transfers. Arriving and departing crew members are looked after through GAC special “Meet and Greet” service based at Cairo international Airport.

GAC Egypt also has an extensive coverage of ports and terminals receiving tankers, providing full agency services in Alexandria , Port Said, Suez, Ain Sukhna, Safaga, East Ziet Bay, Geisum Hamrawein, Kosseir, Ras Budran, Ras Gharib, Ras Shukhier , Wadi Feiran and Zeit Bay. In the port of Sidi Kerir, GAC Egypt provides crew transfer and other support services.

With the growth of the curise industry, GAC Egypt is increasing serving cruise liners, catering for their needs at prime ports of call such as Alexandria, Port Said, Suez, Hurgada, Safaga and Sharm Elsheik . GAC staff handle berthing arrangements, liaison with local authorities, embarkation/disembarkation arrangement and are on hand to assist masters in any unforeseen matters that may arise from time to time, such as medical emergencies, supplies, crew transfers etc.
